Into the Lightroom!

An Introductory Journey.

If you have heard of Adobe LightRoom but did not know how you could benefit by using it,

This is your chance to see for yourself what LightRoom is all about.

Pretty much every photographer has heard of Adobe Photoshop and knows what a great program it can be.

But what about this new Adobe product called Lightroom? Do you find yourself wondering,

"What can Lightroom do for me and why should I add it to my image editing arsenal?"

Then, this is the class for you.

During this session, we will explore the basics: Hands on session Limited to 12 students

The purpose for Lightroom 2 and how it was designed to make your life easier
How Lightroom 2 is different from and more simple to use than Photoshop
The importing process and how to organize your photos so you can find anything in a matter of seconds
The basics of the image editing power of Lightroom

Class Time: Saturday, July 18, 2009 - 10:30am until 3:30 pm

(Bring a sack lunch for the 30 minute lunch break.)

RPS July 6th Meeting - Speaker: Cheri MacCallum

Dancing Tulips by Cheri MacCallum Cheri's fine art paintings begin as a digital photograph, then they are painted by hand, stroke by stroke, using painting software, tablet and stylus, and then printed as pigmented ink on fine art giclée or canvas giclée. Her images have been published and won numerous awards and currently has work displayed in galleries in Georgia and Florida. She was named Georgia Professional Photographers Association's "2006 Photographer of the Year". Cheri's work can be seen on her website: www.ArtByCheri.net.
