Martin Luther King Day is always observed on the third Monday of January in the United States.

Presidents' Day

In the United States, Presidents Day is always celebrated on the third Monday of February. Presidents Day (or Presidents' Day), is the common name for the federal holiday officially designated as Washington's Birthday. As the first federal holiday to honor an American citizen, the holiday was celebrated on Washington's actual birthday in 1796 (the last full year of his presidency) on February 22.

While the holiday is still officially known as Washington's Birthday, it has become popularly known as "President's Day", honoring both Washington and Lincoln, as well as all the other men who have served as president.

August 5th First Thursday Gallery Walks of Buckhead

Come out and enjoy Atlanta's art scene on the first Thursday of each month as galleries participate in this stroll through Buckhead. These walks take place from 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. each month through October. Snapdragon Photography Studio & Gallery, located in TULA Art Center, is included in the First Thursday Gallery Walks of Buckhead.

Tula Art Center houses over 30 artists' studios and galleries and MOCA GA.
Light refreshments will be served in each gallery from 6:00 to 9:00pm this Thursday, August 5th.
